JOB TITLE: Shift Supervisor - 2nd Shift
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities for this position will include but not be limited to: Overall manufacturing activities on 2nd shift which includes personnel, machinery, and facilities; ensures production on the shift is carried out and acts as emergency response coordinator on the shift, etc.
SKILLS NECESSARY:
Candidates for the Shift Supervisor-2nd shift position should have supervisory experience, leadership and human relations skills, effective communication skills (both verbal and written). A Bachelor Degree in Industrial Management, Engineering or related field and working knowledge of die-casting and machining is a plus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensure production on 2nd shift is done according to schedule established by production scheduling.
2. Evaluate with Manager, Operations need of shift as pertains to production schedules, staffing and company policies.
3. Supervise departmental lead people providing support and concerning production, personnel etc. Interpret company policy for employees on 2nd shift.
4. Review production schedules and provide tools, supplies and raw materials to meet those schedules.
5. Closely observe the quality of the goods produced on 2nd shift. Has overall responsibility for quality of goods produced.
6. Communicate information to all employees supervised and to members of management team.
7. Assure that employees are aware of plant policies and that they adhere to them.
8. Develop, train and motivate employees reporting
